Our Services

Restorative Family Reconnection

Creating safe, supported opportunities for families to work toward accountability, understanding, healing, and rebuilding relationships — when it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Understanding Family Separation

We recognize that family separation — whether resulting from family conflict, domestic violence, government systems such as Child Protective Services (CPS), carceral systems, and the child support system (DCSS) — can create hurt, mistrust, disrupted relationships, and fractured connections within families and communities.

These experiences can make it difficult for parents, children, and family members to rebuild trust and reconnect, even when they want to move forward.

Families separated by family conflict or domestic violence
Families impacted by CPS involvement or the child welfare system
Families impacted by incarceration or the carceral system
Families navigating the child support system (DCSS)
Parents and children seeking supported reconnection
Families seeking community education and referrals to resources

How We Work

Our Restorative Approach

Our restorative approach creates opportunities for families to work toward accountability, understanding, healing, and rebuilding relationships when it is safe and appropriate to do so.

We recognize that reunification is not one-size-fits-all and that each family's path toward reconnection may look different. Meaningful reconnection may take time, patience, accountability, and support, and we honor each family's individual circumstances and pace.

We work to create spaces where parents, children, and family members can be heard, relationships can be acknowledged, and healthier pathways forward can be explored. Our approach is centered on safety, dignity, accountability, and the well-being of children while recognizing the importance of family connection.

We believe restoration is not about erasing what happened. It is about creating opportunities for accountability, healing, and connection while keeping safety and the well-being of children at the center.

What Guides Us

Our Guiding Principles

Safety First

Family reconnection must never come at the expense of a child's or survivor's safety and well-being. Safety is the foundation of every step in our restorative process.

Accountability

Healing requires honesty. We create space for accountability — not blame — as a pathway toward understanding and rebuilding trust.

Dignity for All

Every family member — parent, child, caregiver — deserves to be heard and treated with dignity throughout the reconnection process.

Child-Centered

The well-being, voice, and developmental needs of children remain at the center of every decision and every process we facilitate.

Honoring Each Family's Pace

There is no single timeline for healing. We honor where each family is and support them at their own pace, without pressure or judgment.

Community Connection

We connect families with aligned community resources and partner organizations to support the broader network of needs that accompany healing and transition.

Partnerships & Education

Community Education & Partnerships

We believe families are stronger when they have access to a community of support. We work alongside community organizations, Family Justice Centers, legal service providers, domestic violence organizations, reentry programs, behavioral health providers, and other trusted partners to help families understand their options and connect with appropriate resources.

Through community education, resource navigation, and referrals, we help families better understand the systems they are navigating and what community services are available to help them. We also work to build relationships with community partners so that families do not have to find their way through these systems alone.

Financial Access

Accessible Pathways to Reconnection

We believe financial hardship should never be the reason a parent loses the opportunity to safely maintain or rebuild a relationship with their child. Through a sliding-scale model, community partnerships, grants, and other sources of support, we strive to make our services accessible to families regardless of their financial circumstances.

Our approach is rooted in a simple belief: safe family connections can strengthen families, and stronger families can strengthen communities.
