About Us

Healing Families Means Healing Communities

Restoration Bond Collective is a nonprofit dedicated to helping families safely navigate stressful changes in family structure — with compassion, dignity, and a trauma-informed perspective.

Who We Are

Restoration Bond Collective (RBC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families safely navigate stressful changes in the family structure by providing neutral third-party assistance that supports family members in protecting and rebuilding relationships.

We provide services in three categories: neutral supervised visitation and exchanges for children and non-custodial parents in accordance with California Standard 5.20; family law mediation services; and restorative justice programming that includes community education and referrals to resources that support families experiencing crisis, conflict, or transition. Our clients include families impacted by incarceration.

We believe that every parent deserves a pathway back to their child, regardless of their ability to pay. Accordingly, we use a sliding-scale fee structure to ensure that no family is prevented from accessing our services for financial reasons.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Restoration Bond Collective is dedicated to creating safe and affordable opportunities for parents, children, and caregivers to reconnect, heal, and strengthen family relationships through bilingual, trauma-informed family support services.

We serve children, parents, and caregivers navigating family separation, domestic violence, incarceration, and other challenging circumstances.

We believe that restoring healthy family connections, when safe and appropriate, can help break intergenerational cycles of trauma and domestic violence, promote children's emotional well-being, and build stronger communities. We are committed to removing financial and language barriers while prioritizing child safety, survivor autonomy, dignity, and accountability.

Our Values

What Guides Our Work

Compassion & Dignity

We approach every family with compassion, dignity, and a trauma-informed perspective. Our team's own backgrounds give us a deeper understanding of the challenges families may face.

Bilingual Services

We provide services in English and Spanish to remove language barriers and ensure every family can fully participate in the support they receive.

Sliding-Scale Access

We believe no family should be prevented from accessing our services for financial reasons. Our sliding-scale fee structure ensures equitable access for all.

Neutrality & Confidentiality

Our work depends on trust. We maintain strict neutrality in supervised visitation and full confidentiality in mediation — and we never provide both services to the same family.

Child Safety First

The safety and well-being of children is our highest priority in every service we provide, every decision we make, and every interaction we facilitate.

Survivor Autonomy

We center the autonomy and dignity of survivors in all our work, ensuring that our services never compromise safety or re-traumatize those we serve.

Looking Forward

Our Vision

We envision communities where families have access to opportunities for healing, reconnection, and rebuilding healthy relationships, regardless of financial circumstances. We believe that restoring family bonds, when safe and appropriate, can help break intergenerational cycles of trauma and domestic violence, support healthy child development, and build stronger communities.

How We Work

Our Approach

At Restoration Bond Collective, we believe that maintaining and rebuilding family connections must be approached with safety, dignity, neutrality, and compassion.

Our goal is to create a supportive, trauma-informed environment where parents and children can maintain or rebuild meaningful relationships while respecting court orders, individual safety needs, survivor autonomy, and the unique circumstances of each family.

We recognize that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process and that family reconnection must never come at the expense of a child's or survivor's safety and well-being.

An Important Note About Our Services

Due to the need for confidentiality in mediation and neutrality in supervised visitation, we do not offer both mediation and supervised visitation services to the same families. Our mediation services support families in crafting their own agreements and are not a substitute for independent legal advice or representation.
